Every comparison, scored honestly

The 4-step process that makes our brand-vs-brand comparisons different from everyone else's affiliate-driven reviews.

Full methodology →
i

Real purchase

We buy every product with our own money, never accepting samples or paid placements. $200,000+ spent on test gear in the last 4 years.

ii

8–10 criteria

Each comparison scores both brands on 8–10 category-specific criteria — never just one or two cherry-picked metrics.

iii

Long-term testing

30 to 365 days of real-world use per product. Running shoes get 300+ miles; appliances get 6+ months; cookware gets 90+ days.

iv

User signal

We aggregate verified reviews from Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Trustpilot — flagged for fake patterns — to ground our verdicts in real-world data.

India's most-searched brand-vs-brand questions

The top 20 comparison questions our readers actually ask. Updated weekly based on search volume across Comparees.com.

Built on real testing, not affiliate ads

Independent purchase model

Every product reviewed at Comparees is bought with our own money, never gifted or sponsored. This eliminates the conflicts of interest that plague affiliate-driven review sites and lets us call brands out honestly when products underperform.

Weighted scoring criteria

Each comparison scores both brands on 8–10 category-specific criteria — not a single overall rating. For appliances: energy ratings, build, service, smart features. For shoes: fit, cushioning, durability, value. The weights and methodology for each category are documented publicly.

Real long-term testing

Lab tests don't replace real use. Our reviewers cook with cookware for 90+ days, run in shoes for 300+ miles, install appliances and live with them for 6+ months. A surprise failure at month 4 changes our rating — and we'll tell you why.

Transparent verdict format

Every comparison ends with a clear winner — or a clear "it depends, here's when each wins." No hedging, no fake neutrality. If Nike beats Adidas on running but loses on lifestyle, we say so directly.

Brand comparisons, answered

Quick answers to the questions our readers ask most often about our comparisons and methodology.

How does Comparees pick which brands to compare?
We pick comparisons by what real shoppers are torn between. Sources include: search volume data (what people Google), our own readership data (what comparisons people click on), affiliate program search trends, and direct reader requests. Brands cannot pay to appear in or be excluded from any comparison — we publish what's useful to readers regardless of affiliate relationships.
Are these comparisons affiliate-paid or sponsored?
No comparison on Comparees is paid for or sponsored by any brand. We do earn affiliate commissions when readers click through to retailers like Amazon, Flipkart, brand websites or booking platforms — but those commissions never influence rankings, verdicts or what gets reviewed. We've explicitly chosen losers in comparisons that paid us a higher commission, because honesty is our brand. Full affiliate disclosure available.
How long does each comparison take to research?
A typical comparison takes 4–12 weeks end-to-end. We buy both products, install or wear them in real settings, run 8–10 criteria scoring, aggregate verified user reviews from Amazon/Flipkart/Trustpilot, photograph everything ourselves, and write a 10–15 minute long-form article. Major comparisons like LG vs Samsung or Nike vs Adidas get 6+ months of testing across multiple product lines.
How often are comparisons updated?
Every comparison is reviewed at least twice a year for accuracy. Pricing, model availability and category-leader changes (a new flagship from Samsung or LG for example) trigger major rewrites. Each article shows the "Last updated" date at the top. If you read a comparison that feels outdated, email us — we prioritize updates based on reader feedback.
Can I request a comparison?
Yes! We get comparison ideas from readers all the time. Send your request via the contact page or just tweet at us. We can't promise every comparison gets written (we publish ~50 new comparisons per year), but high-signal requests — covering brands that have real audience demand — usually move to the top of the queue.
Where can I find comparisons by category?
Every category page has a dedicated comparisons section at the bottom. For example, see comparisons under Men's Wear, Footwear, Home Appliances, Kitchen & Cookware, Home Security, Hotel Booking, Data Backup, or browse all 11 categories for the complete map.
What if I disagree with a comparison verdict?
Great — we love that. Verdicts are opinions backed by real testing, not absolute truth. Different users prioritize different criteria: an Asics Gel-Kayano runner might prefer a New Balance 1080 for the same gait. Every comparison explicitly shows the criteria weights we used; if your priorities differ, the data is still useful. You can also share your own counter-experience — we sometimes update comparisons based on multiple users reporting consistent counter-data.
